To secure your date, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event.
Your Responsibilities:
We require your final itinerary and all key contacts a minimum of 14 days in advance. Please note that an additional hour of service will be added for events with a significant break between the ceremony and reception.
Liability
As the Event Owner, you (and your sponsors) carry the primary liability for the event. Dez Govender MC’s liability is strictly limited to the value of the booking fee. We strongly recommend you secure comprehensive event liability insurance.
Cancellation & Unforeseen Circumstances
If You Cancel: The deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations within 7 days are subject to full payment less admin costs.
If We Cannot Attend: Our priority is to provide a qualified replacement MC. Our liability is limited to this provision or a full refund.
Force Majeure: We cannot be held liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control.
Communication Protocol:
To ensure an efficient and conflict-free execution of the event, Dez Govender MC will liaise directly and exclusively with the designated Event Organizer(s) listed in this agreement. While we will coordinate with relevant vendors (e.g., DJ, photographer, event planner) on operational details as necessary for the program, we are not obliged to accept direction or demands from external third parties, including guests, family members, or unlisted vendors. This protocol is in place to prevent conflicts, manage time effectively, and ensure a singular, clear vision for the event’s program.
